The foundation for preventing gum disease and tooth decay.

Seeing your dentist regularly is the key to prevention. Preventing disease is always better than treating disease.

During your cleaning appointment and exam, you can expect:

  • Remove plaque and tartar
  • Polish teeth to remove stains
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Gum disease evaluation
  • Visual examination of tooth decay

Sealants help protect teeth from decay

Sealants

Protect the chewing surface of teeth from decay.

Normal pits and grooves on the chewing surfaces of back teeth can trap food that can't be removed by brushing or washed out with water or saliva. Sealants are an excellent way to protect chewing surfaces of teeth from decay.

Sealants are generally applied to children's first permanent back teeth. They can also be useful for adults in certain situations.

Gum Disease Treatment

Protect yourself from periodontal disease.

Sadly, periodontal disease (gum disease) is fairly common and can be much more detrimental to your overall health than you may think. Studies have shown that gum disease can increase the likelihood of many other maladies, including heart disease and diabetes.

Gum disease is treated by carefully removing the bacteria and substances that form in the pockets around the teeth. The removal of this material occurs on a microscopic level and requires great skill. Our dental team removes all of the bacteria and uses cutting edge laser technology for the best possible treatment and rejuvenation of your gums.
